Dr. Rudi Herterich, managing director and founder of DHC Business Solutions, born in Aschaffenburg in 1957, studied material sciences with a focus on glass/ceramics at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and business administration at RWTH Aachen. He holds a PhD from the Institute of Information Systems (Director: Prof. A.-W. Scheer) at Saarland University. He gained his first professional experience as an engineer in the quality assurance lab of Vegla Vereinigte Glaswerke GmbH in Aachen; he then moved to the Institute for Industrial Management (FIR) as a research assistant. The focus of his work lay in the development of organizational solutions to decentralize decisions; at the same time, he studied business administration at RWTH Aachen. In 1988, he moved to the Institute for Business Informatics of Prof. A.-W. Scheer in Saarbrücken. His main responsibilities were in process-oriented, decentralized production control. He served as project manager for multiple research projects as part of the EU program ESPRIT. In 1992, after his doctorate, he moved to IDS Prof. Scheer AG where he was project manager of the “CAPISCE” project, in which the industry solution PP-PI was developed in collaboration with SAP AG in Walldorf. In 1996 he became founder and shareholder of DHC Dr. Herterich & Consultants GmbH in Saarbrücken. In 1998, as founder and majority shareholder, he set up DHC AG in Zürich. Since 2011, Dr. Herterich is managing director and majority shareholder of DHC Business Solutions GmbH & Co. KG.
Dr. Wolfgang Kraemer, born 1962 in Stuttgart, studied industrial engineering at the Technical University of Karlsruhe and received his doctorate at the Institute for Business Informatics at the University of Saarland on the use of artificial intelligence in accounting. This was followed by professional positions in consulting for efficient cost management and offshore development of SAP-based solutions. The IMC AG, founded in 1997 as EdTech Start Up, together with other co-shareholders he built up to become one of the world’s leading providers of digital learning solutions. Until 2014, he worked here first as managing director, spokesman of the board and later as CEO. He continues to be associated with IMC AG as a shareholder. For the DHC Business Solutions GmbH & Co. KG – founded in 2011 as RegTech-Start Up – he has been responsible for the company’s development as shareholder and CEO since 2014.
